✨ Our Story ✨
It all began in 2007 when Jamie wanted to make her daughters each a baby scrapbook, but had a hard time finding cute supplies. She began her first business venture with a line of handmade scrapbooking supplies that were a hit! Then, it expanded into a full line of party decor ~ ranging from sewn and glittered party banners, whimsical hand-painted birthday crowns, to cupcake toppers, hand-folded pinwheels, gift tags and more.
Now, she focuses on what she loves best ~ designing + paper. It all starts with opening her laptop and creating a design...then, we print, fold and package each and every greeting card order right here in our little studio by the sea. In addition to our cards and cupcake toppers, we now partner with a few wonderful companies to create some of our gifting items.
Star City Co. takes its name from the “Star City” itself, Roanoke VA - it's where Jamie grew up! She met the love of her life in a small college town just down the road and ended up moving to Northern Virginia for them to grow to a family of 6 (9 if you want to count the puppies ;)
Jamie and her family decided to try the small town vibe again and went coastal a few years ago. It's beautiful, peaceful and crazy all at the same time, but Star City Co. is thriving more than ever, and we appreciate you continuing to support our small business. It's the small things in life, that often mean the most and we feel that to our core.
Just like the bright and brilliant star that inspired our brand, each and every one of our designs and products are made to light up your life ~ It's why we're here!!
